Annabelle Henderson: Lori Minden Tancer Award Winner
Meet the Winner of Momenta’s Lori Minden Tancer Award!
Momenta is pleased to announce Annabelle Henderson as our winner for the Lori Minden Tancer Award! Annabelle will be joining Momenta on our Project Puerto Rico 2018 workshop.
Annabelle’s passionate and well-written cover letter quickly proved to the judges that she was heavily invested in telling stories related to children’s issues. She is currently based out of New England and working in portraiture and wedding photography as well as personal projects. Annabelle is interested in working in and teaching documentary photography.
Momenta is committed to helping the most passionate individuals achieve their goals through our various scholarships. We teach that compassion and dedication to storytelling is an essential part of giving back and being a force for change. As Annabelle herself said:
“I wish to carry this experience and sponsorship from Bill Tancer as an inspiration to give back, as he does. It allows me to take a major step towards developing my professional life and is an affirmation that being determined about making work that matters, not only to oneself but to others, can never be regarded as an effort made in vain.”
Momenta Workshops has been awarding the Lori Minden Tancer Award for the past three years. The scholarship is sponsored by Bill Tancer in honor of his late wife. Lori was particularly committed to children’s issues, and recipients of the award will be paired with organizations working specifically to improve the lives of children in their communities.
All of us at Momenta are looking forward to working with Annabelle as she continues on her journey. If you’d like to see more of her work take a look at her Facebook Page or follow her on Instagram @annabelle_henderson
