This Scholarship is open to any passionate photographer who displays superb talent and dedication to being a force for change through documentary work.
It is with great pleasure that we welcomed Florian Ziegler to our Project Puerto Rico 2018 workshop as the recipient of the Momenta Project Workshop Scholarships. Florian founded a web design and development agency called Haptiq with a friend and lives in Essen, Germany with his wife Ulya and daughter Lumi.
At Momenta, we strive to teach strong storytelling as an essential part of connecting with audiences and allowing the viewer to connect with the subject matter. As Florian told us after winning the award,
“[My] mission [is] finding out if photography is my vocation – and obviously to learn as much as I can. That being said: this doesn’t mean that I won’t try my hardest to come back with the best pictures I possibly can, to help the mission of the organization I will be working with. :) I am still looking forward to telling an important story to the best of my abilities and by doing so, hopefully benefit the people in Puerto Rico.”
We’re looking forward to following Florian on what is an already exciting career path and growing to become a leading voice in our community. Look at his work and follow along on his website at florianziegler.com, on his photo blog florian.photo, or on Instagram @florian.ziegler.photo.
