It is with great pleasure that we welcomed Sarah Minor to our Project Puerto Rico 2018 workshop as the runner-up recipient of the Momenta Project Workshop Scholarships. Sarah is a freelance photographer based in Lombard, IL.
At Momenta, we strive to teach strong storytelling as an essential part of connecting with audiences and allowing the viewer to connect with the subject matter. As Sarah told us after winning the award,
“I’ve thought about working with Momenta Workshops for a few years. When Momenta Workshops announced their Puerto Rico workshop I knew immediately I wanted to sign up. Photographing in Puerto Rico sounded like it would be a great opportunity to have my work help nonprofits get their message out. My hope is that my work could help affect change for the better, however small, for the resilient people of Puerto Rico.”
We’re looking forward to following Sarah on what is an already exciting career path and growing to become a leading voice in our community. Look at her work and follow along on her website at srmphotos.zenfolio.com or Instagram @sminor.
